Interwar Postcards from Giannitsa and the Surrounding Area

The postal letters on this page were issued during the 1910s and were mainly sent by soldiers of the Balkan Front of the Great War to their loved ones. The section of the Egnatia Road, from Thessaloniki to Giannitsa to Edessa, served as the passage to the battlefields of World War I in the mountainous ranges of Pella.
